Marie Laurencin: La Promenade à cheval

  • During her lifetime the artist had an incredible success, both critical and material. Laurencin exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants (1910-1911) and the Salon d'Automne (1911-1912), and Galerie Dalmau (1912) at the first Cubist exhibition in Spain.

The artist created an alternative reality, which was totally unique to her: it was populated with an aesthetic which was completely female. Laurencin's oeuvre includes paintings, watercolours, drawings, and prints.
